He Came to Set the Captives Free!
The following story is about my best friend and closest brother, “P”. This story involves the deliverance of “P”, once a traditional Satanist, into the kingdom of God. Ministering to Satanists is not for the fainthearted, and neither is reading about it!
Please pray so that the point of this story may come across, and that is to testify and glorify in the immense love of God for His children.
The story was originally written by Steve Koncz. It is best you hear this story from someone else outside of the family. The original transcript that Steve Koncz wrote consists of two parts, 1. the Biblical foundation on Deliverance Ministries, and, 2. the testimony of the deliverance of “P” from Demonisation.
I will skip the first part concerning the Biblical foundation on Deliverance Ministries because I want to write my own journal post about it in the near future. It will also make this post very long! I thank Steve for being there when the church closed every door on “P” and myself when my friend came to Australia to be delivered. Red-tape, church policy and pastors who do not believe in Demonisation deterred us in every step. I did my best to do things according to the book, but God had other plans. God inspired me to reach out to Steve, and that was when Steve and I first (and not the last) came together to set people free from Demonisation. Praise God for people like Steve and for his effort and time to write down the following story.

Steve’s Story – He Came to Set the Captives Free!
Now that this Biblical foundation has been established [the part I have skipped], let me explain a little of “P”’s background. “P”’s parents had had a number of their children die before birth, and were told by doctors that they were unable to have children. Their blood groups were totally incompatible. Then “P” was born, 7 weeks premature, so sick that the doctors held out no hope for his living either, and left him to die in a back room. His Dad, Mr “N”, was then, and still is, a satanist high priest [Mr "N" passed away a few years ago, God bless his soul]. For those who are unaware of such things, satanism involves a far greater degree of demonic power and evil than even black magic, witchcraft, and shamanism. Satan is worshiped directly and obeyed precisely. Satan appears physically before them, and leads them directly, planning and enforcing their diabolical activities.
Satanism is an extremely sophisticated worldwide network, with a great deal of undercover control in the world. There are many people in high places that are satanists, some in the police force (have you ever wondered why crime gets worse and worse every year?). Some of our judges are satanists (ever wondered how come some of these hardened, vicious criminals get off with light sentences, or even no sentences at all). Some satanists are doctors, surgeons, CEO’s of hospitals, teachers, and so on. Some of the vicious tyrants that rule some of the countries of our world are satanists. Does that surprise you? It shouldn’t; the Bible calls it “spiritual wickedness in high places” (Eph.6:12).
Mr “N”, desperately wanting his son to live, so that he could one day pass on his position as the high priest, made a blood pact with Satan, a deal. If Satan saved the child’s life, he would dedicate him to Satan and groom him in all the satanic knowledge and powers to become the future high priest. Thus did “P’s” preparation begin even prior to his birth, and especially from the age of three onwards.
In satanism, as in the heavier types of witchcraft, the use of force and torture is common, practiced daily – physical, sexual, and emotional torture. If he made even the slightest mistake, he was tortured, and has the scars to prove it. His body is covered in tattoos, which he told me he got mainly to cover all the scars. His father allowed “P” to choose the implement of torture, and “P” always chose the one that hurt the most, to prove that he could take anything.
From the age of 4 he was trained in martial arts, and Satan gave him special demons to give him supernatural strength and martial arts abilities. Along with this, he trained for 4 hours every day. He was so violent and aggressive that if someone walked past him in the street and he thought that this person so much as looked at him the wrong way, “P” would beat him up. He bashed up a lot of people, particularly Christians. The demons in him knew who the Christians were. However, to “P’s” amazement, there were some Christians whom he couldn’t harm.
He was told that he has an I.Q. of 190. At school, he never studied, and was much of the time high on drugs. Even when he sat for his exams, he was on drugs, high as a kite, and unaware of even doing his exams. Surely his results, which were always in the 90% range, were the intelligence of the demons [as I see it, "P"'s intelligence is inherited - but may have been influenced by Demons pre-Deliverance]. In the process of infiltrating Christian churches, when he was 15 years old, he met “D”, a young SDA woman, and her parents. “D” and her parents treated him with unconditional love, even after “D” became pregnant.
When he was only 16 years, he married a young woman in this very elitist satanist group to which he belonged, and they had a son. “P” was trained to destroy Christian churches. In case you didn’t know it, this is all part of satanism and witchcraft. He told us that he was particularly successful in the Charismatic and Pentecostal churches. Can you guess why? When they all spoke in “tongues”, he would speak in demonic tongues, cursing them, placing spells upon them, and they, of course, knew no different, because it all sounded the same! “P” once overheard a Maori woman stop one of the church members from speaking in tongues, because she recognised the words in the Maori language as cursing and blaspheming God in the vilest way.
He never went into the SDA churches to destroy them. Any idea why? 2 reasons – (1) His main weapon was demonic tongues, and because of God’s counsels to us that these modern day “tongues” are a counterfeit of the genuine gift of tongues given by God at Pentecost, SDA’s have rejected and spurned it as a whole in our churches [for you information, I'm not a Seventh-day Adventist, but am more than willing to work with any child of God, no matter where you come from] (2) Out of loyalty to “D” and her parents, who had shown “P” so much genuine Christian love and grace. This, of course, is not to say that other satanists don’t try to infiltrate the church. They certainly do; Satan would be a fool not to at least try. Remember that Satan had a Judas among the 12 apostles. Judas was demonised; Satan himself also entered him not long before he betrayed the Lord Jesus, and went off to commit suicide, as it says in Lk.22:3.
But what “P” did do in all the churches was date the girls just to deliberately corrupt their morals. Immorality is a key area to extend Satan’s kingdom. He is the father of lots of demonised children out there!
Some months after, “D” was given a dream by God that showed her that “P” was a satanist. Despite this, they continued to love him, and of course, pray for his salvation. There is a wonderful, miraculous attraction to genuine love; it is far more powerful than evil, and “P” felt it from “D”, who is a woman of great faith in God. “D” was influencing “P” in a way that worried the satanists, especially Satan himself. So the order came directly from Satan that she must be killed and disposed of. “P” had grown to respect and even love her, and for the first time in his life, he refused Satan. Satan and the satanists were so incensed by this treason of disobeying a command from Satan that they killed “P”’s son in a sacrifice to Satan. His wife, due to the murder of their son (and no doubt many other vile and vicious acts) went insane, so they sacrificed her also.
This was the turning point in “P”’s life. Satan had promised him that he would rule the world with him, but instead the result was the murder of the 2 people closest to him in his life. “P” was horrified by the way Satan treated his elite. His eyes were beginning to be opened to the real nature of Satan’s kingdom, and he wanted to get out of it, and become a Christian. But Satan’s kingdom is not based on freedom and love, as is God’s kingdom; instead it is based on force and fear. The satanists came to punish “P” by beating him up, but “P”, using his supernatural martial arts powers, instead beat all of them up!
They tried to teach him a lesson a number of times, but each time he left them battered and bruised, running for their lives ["P", to this day, has his old group trying to assassinate him. Against all odds, "P" remains alive]. But once they succeeded, when he was on crutches. Right on his front lawn, they beat “P” up so badly that he was at death’s door. When they left him, “D” came out and found him bleeding, mortally wounded, saying his last goodbyes, asking her to tell the family that he loved them. She tried to get “P” inside, but he was too heavy for her. She cried out in living faith to God to help her, and found that she had angelic help. An angel of God picked him up effortlessly, and “D” found him inside, with all his wounds healed, including his knee and some bones in his foot that had been broken before this vicious attack!
When he went to withdraw some money from his bank account, the name had been changed, and so he was unable to access any of his funds. All the door locks in his home were changed, his car was gone, and he had no alternative but to live on the streets. His Dad gave him a bag of clothes, that’s all. He lost touch with “D” for a while, but found kindness and help from Christians who were ministering to the homeless. Eventually he and “D” were back together again, and got married.
R. Colon was the youth pastor at Memorial church [Cooranbong, NSW, Australia] a few years ago. He and his wife “S” studied the Bible with “P”, teaching him the gospel, leading him into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ [this is before this couple came to Australia and were still in New Zealand]. Eventually he was baptised as a SDA Christian. Right now we come to a very sticky point – a baptised SDA, but still having demons. If you baptise a dry devil, all you get is a wet devil! There is no miraculous power in the water. “P” found that after his baptism, he still had the same demonic problems he had before, such as the violent rages. Many times “D”’s very life was truly in jeopardy. Once when under demonic control, “P” had “D” around the throat by one hand up in the air. She prayed, trusting in God, and slowly each of the fingers released and down she came. Bible studies, prayer, or baptism doesn’t cast out demons. Does that surprise you? It shouldn’t. Talk to “P”, if you don’t believe me, or talk to Jimmy Galindo (Mishael, as he calls himself now) [this is me in the story], who had “P” in his home for over a week before his deliverance. He was there with us, and had a key, vital role in “P”’s freedom.
You can imagine how “P” struggled trying to live the Christian life, having all his life been told that God and Christians are the enemy. Some of you may have difficulty believing this next part of “P”’s story, but I shall share it anyway. One day he was so severely attacked by demons that he landed in hospital from demonic multiple seizures that left him in a coma. Guess who were waiting for him at the hospital? The satanists, who did their satanic rituals and placed their death curses and spells upon “P”, till his heart and his brain waves stopped. The doctors and nurses were horrified, and he was confirmed dead, so the satanists left, having achieved what they had come for. Twenty minutes later, he sat bolt upright, asking when he could leave the hospital! A modern day Lazarus, praise the Lord! Do you believe that resurrection is still possible today? I do [as do I! Amen!].
Mishael brought “P” out from New Zealand to be prayed for. Mishael came to my door to tell me that “P” was here, but couldn’t come in. I found this hard to understand, as almost anyone is welcome in my home, especially someone wanting to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. “P” was waiting outside my property at the gate, smoking. I came outside to meet “P”, smiled and shook his hand, put my arm around his shoulder, and he smiled too. I said, “I believe you want to give your life to Jesus and be freed from the powers of darkness.” His countenance immediately changed, as he stared at me with a vicious, evil glare, filled with hatred, and he growled like a lion [Steve is not exaggerating when he explains "growled like a lion"!]. Mishael and I layed our hands on his shoulders and prayed for “P”, rebuking and binding the powers of darkness, claiming the blood of Jesus shed at the cross for “P”. He threw the cigarette down on the ground, saying that he doesn’t want to smoke during prayer. Smoking is “incense to his satanic majesty”, as Ellen White called it. Half a minute later, “P” was again his usual self, the gentle hearted young man who desperately wanted Jesus to save him from demonic control.
We decided on the day for prayer for his deliverance, the 25th October, 2001 (a date “P” says he will never forget!). Mr “N” and his 12 satanist cronies came all the way from New Zealand to do their demonic sacrifices and send their curses and spells through demons to stop us, and to kill “P” before he could be delivered. On the night before we were due to pray, Friday night during God’s holy Sabbath hours, at 12 midnight, they sacrificed to Satan, marshalling a huge host of demons. They had demons thick like a canopy all around Mishael’s home, and the plan was that en masse, all these demons would suddenly swoop down and take “P”, Michael and his Dad, Fabian, by storm. But Satan underestimated the power of God’s angels and prayer! Never underestimate God’s angels, or the power behind humble, dependent, sincere prayer. It is the key in the hand of faith to move the mighty arm of God! For those who pray earnestly, God would rather empty all heaven, if necessary, than allow one of His people to be defeated by Satan and his angels. The midnight hour passed. “P”, who has been able to see both the good and evil angels since he was born, saw a few evil angels break through the angelic protection. Suddenly, “P” was under the control of these evil angels, and tried to attack Mishael. This was driven away through prayer, and Mishael rebuking and binding out aloud the powers of darkness. “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel” (Num.23:23). God’s holy angels did battle with the evil angels. Such battles are as real as those fought by opposing armies on earth.
After this attack they had a relatively peaceful night, as God’s people, by the hundreds all around the world that knew about this deliverance, prayed in shifts all through the night. “P” asked me to pass on his profoundest gratitude for these prayers, by the way. I too woke up all through the night on a regular basis and prayed for their protection. I honestly believe that the victory was gained largely due to the earnest prayers of God’s people. “P” had prayer groups interceding on his behalf in America, Chile, and 7 or 8 prayer groups right here in our beloved Australia too. At about 2.30 on Sabbath afternoon, 6 others and I came to Mishael’s home in Balcolyn, where “P” was staying. I was surprised to see none of the satanists around. “P” told me later that they were about one street away, and could come no closer. “P” said that he could see a number of God’s holy angels enter with us, and that there were many holy angels all around. There was a look of fear and worry on “P”’s face – not that “P” himself was afraid or worried – but the forces of darkness were!
We all knelt in earnest prayer for “P”’s deliverance. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would guide our thoughts and words, and lead us as we challenged the demonic strongholds in “P”. We prayed that God would fill the room with His powerful holy angels. The Lord Jesus said, as He was being arrested in Gethsemane, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than 12 legions of angels?” (Matt.26:53) I prayed that, if necessary, the Lord would send 12 or more legions of holy angels to minister as we prayed for “P”. In fact, days before, I asked the Lord Jesus to put Gabriel (who took Satan’s position after Satan was cast out of heaven) on constant alert, and to make for him if he was needed, an appointment for Sabbath afternoon! Do you think God would answer a prayer like that?! I’ll share with you in a moment how He did. We all prayed for protection from the enemy, particularly for “P”, claiming the promise of Jesus in Lk.10:19,20.
Then I anointed “P” on the forehead with dedicated olive oil, despite the demons’ resistance. This is a symbol of God’s Holy Spirit. Isa.10:27 states that “the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” Then I asked “P” to read out aloud the Declaration of Faith in Jesus Christ and the Prayer of Commitment to Jesus Christ. If anyone here would like to look at this I’d be more than happy to show it to you. Almost immediately as “P” began saying this prayer his eyes rolled backwards, his facial expression changed, and a deep growl came from his mouth. “P”’s right arm reached out to Mishael’s throat in a violent gesture to choke him, but the demon could get no closer. The demon spoke through “P”’s mouth, saying to Mishael, with all the hatred and venom that is typical of Satan’s kingdom, “You traitor!!!” [I will share my testimony one day, which will explain the reason why Demon's call me a "traitor". Normally, being called a traitor would deeply insult me, but when it comes to this particular situation, I'm quite proud of the fact! 
]
I said, “Demon, what is your name?” He answered spitefully, “Nkrmh.” [I do not want to share the Demonic names] Nkrmh was the “strongman” in charge of the demonic stronghold in “P” since his childhood. Now in case any of you are worried that we may be doing the wrong thing by addressing the demons directly like this, we are following the example of the Lord Jesus in Mk.5. Mishael asked, “Nkrrmh, what is your assignment from Satan?” The demon answered, “He belongs to me.” I said, “He was once yours, but because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, now he belongs to Him. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Nkrrmh, I command you and the evil angels under you to come out of “P”!” Almost immediately they came out, as “P” coughed a number of times. I asked “P” after it was all over what it felt like when the demons were cast out. He said it was like a red-hot knife being pulled out of his flesh. Then it was clear from his facial expressions that the demon was no longer manifesting, and “P” was with us again. I asked him if he was O.K., and he said he felt sore and very drained, but he was fine.
I asked him to continue with the prayer, and despite demonic resistance all through the prayer of surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, with us rebuking and binding the demons so that “P” could speak, he eventually finished it. I couldn’t help but notice that “P”’s empty-looking eyes kept glancing off to a high corner of the room.
We all praised and thanked God for His victory thus far, and sang several hymns of praise. Did you know that prayer and praise are powerful weapons in God’s spiritual arsenal? Remember that if you are ever harassed or attacked by demons. We all felt a heavenly joy, and a peace that everything was in the control of Jesus.
Mishael then asked “P” to read the book of Revelation. That was one book that the satanists stayed away from when they studied the Bible in order to learn how to twist the Scriptures to confuse and destroy churches that they were infiltrating. Almost as soon as he started reading, “P”’s face again revealed that a demon was manifesting. I said, “What is your name, demon?” The answer came back with intense pride and arrogance, “I am he called Lucifer.” Mishael challenged him, “That is not your name any longer; your name is Satan, the adversary.” Satan sneered at him. Mishael then quoted several Bible texts about the blood of Jesus. The most important weapon we have against Satan is the Bible, the Word of God. Jesus defeated Satan during the wilderness temptation by quoting “It is written….” (Matt.4:4,7,10). Note that Jesus also used some of His own words, but never to parley with Satan or make a deal with him. Satan said to Mishael with utmost disdain, “You quote the Bible to me, boy. I know it better than you do!” I said, “You heard “P”’s declaration of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He doesn’t want you anymore.” Satan answered, “He was given to me at birth; he’s mine!” I answered with Scripture, 1 Jn. 2:1,2. “P” is part of the world; therefore the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ covers his sins. He is no longer yours; he was bought by the blood of Jesus at the cross. You heard him say that prayer of commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.” Satan said, “He didn’t mean it.” I said, “Satan, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to go down; I want to talk to “P”.” “P” was there with us again. He smiled at us. I asked, “P”, did you really mean what you said in this prayer?” He answered, “I sure did.” I asked, “Do you really want to be rid of Satan, and have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and King?” “P” said, “Yes I do, I really do. Get out of my life forever, Satan.” I said, “Satan, you come forward again”, and you could see the demonic manifestation instantly. I held up the prayer before Satan’s eyes, and said, “Satan, you heard from his own lips that he is through with you, and that he has chosen Jesus Christ as his Saviour, Lord, and King. I claim the victories of the Lord Jesus Christ on behalf of “P”. Jesus defeated you in the wilderness temptation, all through His spotless life, at the cross, in His resurrection, and now sits in heaven as our High Priest at the right hand of the Father, far above all principalities and powers. You are a defeated foe, Satan. Therefore, by the authority given us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command you, Satan, to come out of “P”!”
“P”’s body arched backwards, his head hard against the wall, as he groaned in agony. His face was very purple, and he was frothing at the mouth. Everyone was praying and praising God, for we knew that victory was at hand! We commanded Satan not to harm “P” as he comes out. For about a minute, it was evident that there was an intense struggle going on within “P”, the battle for his body and soul. Then “P” began coughing, a common result of demons exiting the body through the mouth. There was a long exhalation, and Satan was gone. Then “P”’s body relaxed and he was sitting down again. Mishael gave him a towel to wipe the froth away, and “P” smiled happily. We all rejoiced, bursting into “There’s power in the blood….” and several other hymns.
Have you ever felt real spiritual exhilaration? Talk about the peace that passes all understanding, and getting confirmation for your faith! Do you know why God’s gospel commission includes authority over the devils? I think it is because God knows that preaching and mere head knowledge is just not enough to build strong faith in God. Truth needs to be confirmed by spiritual realities, by the actions of God’s power, by God’s interventions in answer to prayer, and then faith becomes strong. “Faith without works is dead”(Js.2:20). I’m not claiming that you have to cast out demons to have strong faith; but I do believe that it confirms and strengthens faith. This authority over the powers of darkness is our privilege, placing in our hands, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the ability to set captives such as “P” free. Not that everyone with demonic problems will be freed – there are certain conditions to deliverance. Remember that even Jesus didn’t cast out the demons from Judas, and there were many others also. But for those who are freed, that freedom is so precious. These people are given back a will of their own, no longer manipulated at Satan’s every whim. Impossible before, but after deliverance they are free to have Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, free to abide in Christ and to live for Him.
Satan didn’t inhabit “P”’s body all the time, like the other demons did. He is too busy for that. He only enters people for short periods of time. Satan entered “P” when Nkrrmh was clearly losing the battle, to try to save the situation.
“Shl” was the next demon to manifest, and when asked what his assignment was from Satan, he answered, “to harm him – death. I’m the last one”. I told the demon that he is a liar and a follower of the father of lies, and that we will not fall for such lies, and that I know he’s not the last one. Then I said that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, quoting Heb.2:14,15, he is a defeated foe, therefore, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we command you to come out of “P”, and take all the demons under you with you.” Without hardly any resistance, he came out. They had seen their master Satan cast out, so they had no strength left at all to resist.
Then came “Jhnnm”, whose assignment was violence. I prayed that instead of Satan’s violence, the sweet gentleness of Jesus, His kindness, love, mercy, and longsuffering, would come into “P”’s life. Then I commanded the demon to come out of him in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and to take with him all the demons under him, and out they came, praise the Lord. In every case, “P” could feel the agony of the demons leaving.
Then came “Mksh”, whose assignment was murder. We claimed for “P” several of the Scriptural promises regarding the life that is in Jesus. “I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE” (Jn.14:6), and so on. We commanded him to come out with all his troops, and out he came also, with no fight left at all.
“P” looked at us, smiling, and said that he can’t feel any more demons inside. We checked if there were any more, just to be sure, commanding that if there were any demons hiding anywhere in “P”, that in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, they had to come forward. He was clear, and we all rejoiced together.
A. Bryden suggested that “P” again read the book of Revelation, several chapters of which he did easily and gladly. I asked him to read the Declaration of Faith in Jesus Christ again, which he also did without any hitches. He was again anointed, this time without any resistance at all, but gladly, with a prayer of dedication to Jesus our Lord. We all got down again on our knees for prayer. I invited “P” to pray first. We all thanked the good Lord for this mighty deliverance, and prayed that the Holy Spirit will fill “P”’s heart, mind and body, and give him the gifts of the Holy Spirit that God chooses, blessing him with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self control. Then we welcomed “P” as a brother in Christ, and had a good chat together, discussing what happened. After a closing prayer, we parted, confident that the angels of heaven were rejoicing with us.
I promised to explain how God answered my prayer to send Gabriel if necessary. We asked “P” why he kept looking at a high corner of the room when the demons were in manifestation, something that we all noticed. He answered that God had sent Gabriel to oversee the deliverance. The demons kept looking at Gabriel, who told “P” that his father [Mr "N"] is lying prostrate on his face by the power of the Lord. This is the first time Mr “N” has ever been humbled like this, and by God’s grace, it will be his first step to joining “P” in surrendering his life to God. “P” and we who prayed with him are putting Mr “N” and the twelve on our prayer list. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful postlude to have the satanist group all in Christ! “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”(Gen.18:14)

The above “Forgiven” picture became one of “P”’s favourite pictures, hanging on his wall as a reminder of God’s love for him, despite all the wrongs he committed in the Satanic group. And so often I have heard “P” say how deeply this verse has impacted him:
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus ~ Romans 8:1
Remember, in your darkest hour… if God can so love a man as “P”, how can God love you any less? There is no sin, no atrocity; that is, so vile and hideous, that may separate you from the love of God. God’s love for you is everlasting, no strings attached.
I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness ~ God, Jeremiah 31:3
