I will open my mouth in a parable;
I will utter darksayings of old

For nothing is hidden that will not become evident,
nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light

~ Luke 8:17 ~
You may possess an inquisitive nature as I do. That insatiable curiosity that has led you across the world and into countless journeys, all of which have evoked an intense spectrum of emotions within you. Some emotions you never believed you could feel. You know there’s more to life. Always more. Just there, out of reach. Across that invisible veil, always out of reach. But what if we could start seeing past obscurities. What if we could start unlocking treasures with a few tries. Okay, so if you allow me to stretch the metaphors further, I can tell you that now we have an opportunity like no other Seeker of Truth has had before. Your itch, that is telling you there’s “something more” – you can now scratch it and the itch will go away! That confuzzlement where you just couldn’t put the pieces together, even though you just know that they belonged together. Well, you’ll no longer be so confused. Things will start making sense. You will find your Way. Your purpose in life. As now we’re going to talk about a subject that is a real blessing to anyone who is wondering if there’s any hope to ever figuring it all out. For some of you, your heart of hearts is telling you there’s so much love in this universe. So much love! But as we look around this world we realise one crucial factor: this world is fucked up! You know that it shouldn’t be so unfair, aggressive, fearful and uncompassionate. It needn’t be like this. And it’s so frustrating to know something in your mind and heart, without having the verification around us – makes us think that maybe we’re nuts or maybe we have the problem. Well, the answers have been promised, and they’re closer than some think. And here’s my little journal entry sharing some of my views on the tools and opportunities we have at hand.
These answers have long been hidden in what are known as the “Spiritual Mysteries”. The stuff that mystics love to meditate on. Secret societies; some love to protect, others manipulate. And the stuff the power hungry use to gain. Spiritual mysteries have long been under the purview of a select few. Who, for their own reasons, have made discovering precious secrets an impossibility, but for the truly dedicated student. The Spiritual Mysteries ultimately set us free from the confines of our mental, social, sexual, spiritual problems. Imagine yourself healthy. Now imagine your whole family happy, healthy of mind and body, and thriving in beauty inside and out. How about the whole world living in peaceful diversity, working with and for each other and the planet. How wonderful would it be to see a healthy and uplifted population? Yet sadly, religion has long been used as a political tool to either enslave or extort the populace, again, to the financial gain of the ruling class. Can we break out and sing “Money Money Money / Must be funny / In a rich man’s world!” Well then, back to the convo -> Control of knowledge: it’s long been the mode of operation of the ruling class. But you see, it’s not all gloomy and hellishly unfair. Fortunately the Internet is changing things fast. Information can no longer be contained in the deep pockets of secret groups and societies. The world is pouring its secrets into the Net, and it’s as a raging fire – burning a hole in their pockets. And with this process in mind, I reach into a familiar book, the Bible, and will begin to unfold some points that have shed some light on the subject.
Some of the subjects I talk about are controversial. Not because they are heretical, but because they share a view that is different to the brainwashed views of the general populace. And let me tell you something, people who are brainwashed (and most are in society) will react strongly to views outside their own. People who are mentally sound, will listen and process information. And will have no problems assimilating knowledge and restructuring already structured knowledge in their minds – as this is the process of spiritual and mental development. So if you are someone who is easily offended with information outside of your worldview, the following bit of information will make your short and curlies stand on end. Let’s focus on what I said earlier, that the “answers” or “truth” or “Spiritual Mysteries” (whatever you which to term it) are closer than you think. What if I told you that they are within you? Immediately I can imagine many people jumping up and confronting me with the perception that the Truth is out there (somewhere). Most definitely in Jesus Christ. And yes, Doctors, Teachers, Judges, Clergymen have a measure of the truth, and have been known to be consulted on matters of the truth. And of course, we can’t forget the Pope, Vicarius Christi, who has claimed papal infallibility – never erring on matters of faith and morality. All of these. Out there. Have the Truth. But what about little old us? Down here, with the blue collared and deprived? Hah. What do we know?
And so we read books, internet sites, watch documentaries (all these things that are “out there”) to find the truth.
Unveiling The Greatest Mystery – IMHO
What if the truth is closer than you think? In a most unexpected place? Like inside that person who stares at you in the mirror. Yeah, I’m talking about you, babe. You too, mate. But many can’t see what I’m talking about, ’cause we have these firewalls in our minds that make it real tough to penetrate. These firewalls are fueled by certain governments, such as the Roman Catholic church, and its child, Protestantism. They’ve long been using methods to obscure the truth from the populace. Not because it is what the Bible decrees. But because the Bible and religion have long been used as a tool to control the masses (brain washing and indoctrination being very common methods used). But now we know. The populace knows about the beast, the Catholic Church, an unrepentant soldier of fortune. I get lost in the blues thinking about the atrocities committed by the Church, afterall, Sephardi have long felt the scourge of the Church. But we need not fear any longer. At the least, we can start being less paranoid. All of the world is recalibrating, including Christianity, to a higher spiritual level. Pope’s are retiring before their due date (to allow for the changes), Church is reconsidering their evangelical and worship methods. Everything’s changing with the excess amounts of information in the Internet. Evangelical tactics used in the past no longer work. Fear tactics. We laugh at them.
So excuse me if I use the Bible, long used as a tool of fear and control, to reveal some juicy Spiritual Mystery morsels. But I guess it’s my quirky nature to do things in a way that rubs people the wrong way. I’m not going to beat around the bush in Bible study, but jump right into it. To those who are not familiar with Biblical jargon, it may be a little difficult to follow. But a fun conclusion is there for all to jump down and read if you want to skip the Bible study. Here we go:
Quick note before we do this. Don’t expect an orthodox interpretation of the Bible. That is all.
- Matthew 13:11-12 speaks about Christ teaching by parables, and explains how these parables may only be understood by his disciples. “To you [disciples] it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them [the ‘large crowds gathered’ to listen to Jesus’ parables, Matt. 13:2] it has not been granted” (Matt. 13:11). First point. Before and up to the time of Jesus Christ, spiritual mysteries and secrets were being passed on in code language used by certain mystic groups. A code (rich metaphors and sociolinguintics), understood by Kabbalists and in Jesus Christ’s personal experience, the Essenes. Another group who, in my estimates, would have known how to decode the parables would have been the Followers of the Way (Acts 9:2). A group determined a heretical sect by Jewish authorities, worthy of persecution and slaughter (Acts 22:4). However, for the sake of advocating for all who are followers of the Way (as I am), the Way was determined a sect by Jewish authorities on one hand, and on the other, it was seen as the ancestral Path by various Jewish persuasions (Acts 24:14). I personally follow O Tatcho Drom (The True Way), a Romany Gypsy spiritual way. And there’s an important connection to be made here, as there is a flux of Romanies who claim Hebrew ancestry. Making traditional Romany culture a study in Judaism. And the evidence is phenomenal when we take into light what we Romanies say about ourselves (see what we have to say about ourselves http://www.imninalu.net/Roma.htm). One important factor about the Tatcho Drom (True Way) is that it is found within you. So could the Bible say more about truths that have long .een veiled in mysteries?
- Colossians 1:25-27 explains that some of God’s words were a mystery and can now be revealed in full, and that is the mystery of Christ in us <- this is a defining point in this story. Second point. When the author states “in us”, it means in all of us. All of humanity, whether you belong to a religion or not. This revealed mystery is truly a gem of enlightenment, as it reveals something that had been hidden for so long. That is, we are not destitute and in need of a Saviour; we have the power to save ourselves. The former was a method of control; the latter a way of responsibility and self development.
Of course, this brings to question how we view Jesus Christ. In his own words:
“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you… I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer… I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” (John 16:7, 10, 12, 13)
We have to let go. Let go of Jesus Christ, the Saviour “out there”, and embrace the teachings. “I am going away”. So if you’re looking for a Saviour “out there”, take heed, he’s left the building. He’s changed his name to Jesus Cena – “You can see me no longer.” But we know where he’s at now, don’t we? In the spirit of Christ. In what we will discover means an anointing of divine love. The Saviour is not out there, mate. He’s inside your genetics. Historically, Jesus Christ was a compassionate figure, who shared so much of God’s love that it infuriated the ruling elite – we’ve heard the stories. Jesus associated himself with a people who had long believed themselves to be worthless, Oath Breakers, punished by God. He told the listeners that he and God and them were all one, they weren’t lost! Even if they could get lost, God would look for them, find them, love them, care for them, nourish them. Jesus Christ revealed a purely indiscriminate God, who poured his blessings on everyone. But wait, this is what’s going on. This divine love is not out there, to be rewarded to those who follow doctrine. But to anyone who chooses to open their hearts to love, and share that love. All we need to do is open our hearts and let the love flow (okay, okay, easier said than done when accustomed to lowly habits, but afterall, it is a journey). This type of love has many names. In the above text, it is referred to as “Christ”. This word does not necessarily refer to Jesus Christ, the physical person, but Jesus Christ’s energy or spirit. And that is, an anointing of love. To finish off, I will reinforce my view. Following from the last quoted verse above, in John 16. Jesus Christ says, “the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” So here I introduce a concept well understood by mystics, concepts beyond the illusion of duality. Hebrews have long understood the “oneness of nature”. And Jesus Christ says that the Spirit he will send after he goes away, will receive truth from Jesus Christ, and make known to us.” This process, of Jesus Christ placing his Spirit in us, for a specific purpose (knowing Truth) I call an Anointing.
- 1 John 2:27 explains the purpose of being anointed is to understand the mysteries:
“As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him”
The verse highlights the point I made above, how we are one with God. And how God’s anointing (described as “Christ”) will reveal all mysteries. Third Point. There’s good things to look forward to when we allow Christ, an anointing of divine love, to wash our minds and hearts. To feel at peace with ourselves. To love ourselves. And therein lies the secret to understanding the mysteries. It’s all about divine love. And though it may sound airy fairy now, divine love will most likely have another name in the future, but it will be the key to world enlightenment. The key to creating a little heaven in the hell hole we humans have created. Maybe now, that the mysteries have been unveiled, we can gain a little self worth and fix the problems we have made. Yes, we are all accountable. But a few prostrated mea culpas and bloody flagalations will not cut it anymore. We are allowed to stop punishing ourselves, whether by letting go of painful memories, guilt trips, self-harm, sense of worthlessness. It was never God’s plan to include such a debased state of spirituality. It was a human construct that placed fear, right where it didn’t belong – in between God’s love for us and our love for God. God waited for the appropriate time to make this revelation. When humanity would allow itself to accept they are divinely loving breathing individuals. The revelation has been made. It’s only a matter of time to see how it will impact globally.
I want to talk a little more about divine love, described in the Scriptures as Christ (Koine Greek: christos), the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew term “Messiah” (Hebrew: mashiach). Both words mean “Anointed One”. This is significant since in the language of the mystics, Christ was talking about some very deep esoteric teachings – long hidden. That’s how Jesus Christ defeated the powers of darkness – by living a life, so full of God’s love, that it actually healed the very land he walked upon, sending ripples of healing throughout the universe. Such is the love of Christ. I believe that in God’s love for humanity, Jesus Christ was the appropriate vessel to reveal what is in my opinion one of the greatest Spiritual Mysteries (as it has brought me so much healing). That is, we don’t need to do anything to reach God. We don’t need to pay anyone. Nor do we need mediators between us and God. In his own way, Jesus Christ taught us how much God loves us. And what our connection is between ourselves, God and each other. We are one. Beautiful, socially revolutionary concepts. So please allow me to continue sharing my interpretation of the Bible on the subject of Anointing. So, we can somehow become one with God. Or, become aware we are one with God. Somehow. I say genetics, our DNA has God stuff in it. And this God stuff in us is the Truth from Christ, a truth that involves a lot of divine love, because… why? It seems we need to delve a little bit into the why’s and how’s. Let’s go back in time. Hebrews and all have been liberated from Egypt after hundreds of years of slavery. Hebrews feeling a bit lost in the desert and in their sense of belonging with their ancestors and culture. God begins to reveal things as he always does, in our hearts and minds, and the priests create a system of rituals, sabbaths and sacrifices to awaken the atavic knowledge of God, and their ancestry. One of these rituals was the anointing of the head with oil.
Anointing of Oil and Its Significance
Aaron, brother of Moses and High Priest of Israel, was anointed by oil (Exodus 29:7), a metaphor for the Holy Spirit (or in modern language, our Highest Self). Mirroring the oil anointing ritual, we find that God anoints us, as described in 1 John 2:27, with the Holy Spirit (see also, Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38) who will teach us all things (John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2:12). Once again, we find that the energy of Christ, as described as an “Anointing” comes with revelation of truth.
I hope you understand where my head’s at. As I see Jesus Christ, known to have come to reveal the love of God, telling us that he’ll go away to send the Holy Spirit who will reveal all things. Love is the catalyst of some kind of truth. A truth that has been a mystery. And this mystery is best translated in John 17:22, 23:
“The glory which You [Heavenly Father] have given Me [Jesus Christ] I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me”
A recipe is beginning to reveal itself, a recipe that creates the delicious mysteries. Staple diet of the anointed. In the above point, under John 17:22, 23, we learned that it is God’s purpose that we find at-one-ment (that is, us to be reconciled and united with God) with the Most High. We learned that the alchemy for this union is by the power of Christ in us. And we find that the power of Christ is not self-serving, nor haughty, nor uncompassionate. The power of Christ is love. Hence, we find a key element in what defines the truly anointed, and those who are outwardly religious. The outwardly religious, “white washed sepulchers”, have given humanity a history of death, destruction, and spiritual blindness, as we find in the history of institutionalised Christianity. In contrast, the anointed understand that to know God, it is to love (1 John 4:7). And as 1 Corinthians 13:2 explains, “If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
Do you believe that you are ready for the delicious meaty substance hidden in the mysteries? Do you believe you are ready to be initiated by the anointing of God? Well then, “How much are you willing to sacrifice to discover the hidden spiritual truths?” For certainly some truths are out in plain view, but some are hidden, waiting to be unveiled by you.
